Alan is a Sociology PhD student at Princeton University with an interest in education, organizations, and inequality. He has worked with districts on compensation redesign and researched financial challenges facing districts with Education Resource Strategies. His current research project focuses on the role of mid-level education governance (e.g., Regional Education Centers) in policy implementation efforts and the broader K-12 educational infrastructure. He is interested in applying sociological methods to shed light on issues such as school closures and school choice.
