Improvement Research and Continuous Improvement in
Institutions of Higher Education

The ISN Hub is generating evidence of the uptake of improvement research and continuous improvement in institutions of higher education (IHEs). This past winter, we conducted a survey to identify opportunities in IHEs to learn about improvement research and continuous improvement, as well as to identify people who are supporting those learning opportunities. Click HERE to browse this preliminary IHE Survey Report for results to date. If you haven’t already, please complete our IHE survey to support us in generating additional evidence.

ISN at AERA

Join us at the American Educational Research Association (AERA) annual conference in Denver for a structured poster session in which the ISN Hub and our ISN colleagues will be showcasing a range of approaches to improvement research and continuous improvement: Mapping the Landscape of Improvement Research: Representing Diverse Approaches Using a Common Grammar on Friday, April 25, 11:40am to 1:10pm MDT, Colorado Convention Center, Terrace Level, Bluebird Ballroom 2A. This poster session is also a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, to meet new colleagues, and to strengthen our collective resolve amidst the turbulence of the moment..

Landscape Study

Building on our AERA poster session, the ISN Hub team is conducting a landscape analysis of 25 approaches to improvement research and continuous improvement focused on the practical work of catalyzing local innovation and improvement. The Hub team is also developing a video library showcasing these approaches that will soon be available on the ISN website.
