
Curtis Taylor

Curtis Taylor is currently serving as the Director for the National Attendance & Engagement Meta Network at the National Coalition for Improvement in Education located in High Tech High Graduate School of Education. Prior to Taylor’s current role, he serves as an improvement facilitator for the CARE Network, an 8th grade on track network, lesson study facilitator, and comes with 10+ years of K-12 teaching experience. Taylor’s passion is for every student to see themselves as brilliant. Because of his passion, Taylor has made equity, justice, and liberation a priority in his work. Also, Taylor is a faculty member of High Tech High’s Graduate School of Education, where he teaches in the San Diego Teacher Residency. Taylor holds a B.A in Elementary Education from Clemson University, a M.Ed. from the University of San Diego, and his Ed.D in Educational Leadership from the University of California San Diego. His dissertation focused on the impact of lesson studies on middle school teacher’s self-efficacy in culturally relevant mathematics instruction.
