Dr. Margaret Troyer is the Director of Literacy Research & Development at the SERP Institute. She has served as the PI on several federal grants related to scaling and adapting the Strategic Adolescent Reading Intervention (STARI) program, which is designed to accelerate the reading growth of students in grades 6 and up who read two or more years below grade level. She is also currently engaged in work on a research-practice partnership with District of Columbia Public Schools to develop and implement two teacher professional learning courses focused on K-2 literacy instruction.
