Dr. Walters-Sachs is an experienced K-12 school administrator and lifelong learner. For almost ten years, Dr. Walters-Sachs served as the Vice President of School and Legal Affairs at Pine Crest School. As a member of the school’s senior leadership team, Dr. Walters-Sachs acted as an educational thought leader and trusted advisor to the school’s President and Board of Trustees–working collaboratively to advance the school’s mission, support student learning, promote team development, and strategically plan for the future. Dr. Walters-Sachs now contributes to the larger independent school community as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Leadership, Policy, and Organizations at Vanderbilt’s Peabody College, where she teaches courses in independent school leadership and learning, action research, and education law, and advises master’s and doctoral students on their action-based research and capstone projects. Dr. Walters-Sachs earned a doctorate in Leadership and Learning in Organizations from Vanderbilt University and an Education Specialist degree in Curriculum & Instruction and Educational Innovation from the University of Virginia. Dr. Walters-Sachs also holds a law degree from Brooklyn Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
